This December, My English School is offering a workshop on writing narratives.
Target Group: Students from P1 to P3
Duration: 3 days from 9.00 a.m. – 5.30 p.m.
The workshop has been developed in line with the MOE English Language Syllabus (2010). It will be conducted using in-house developed materials and will include fun and targeted games.
Students will explore new vocabulary and grammatical and literary structures that can enhance their writing. They will learn how to engage readers by writing compelling introductions. They will see different narrative beginnings and endings and analyse and select those that are most appropriate for their goals.
Students will be guided through a narrative plan and then make their own plans independently.
Lastly, students will demonstrate their knowledge by drafting a complete narrative, which they will review, edit and publish. The publishing stage is an opportunity to create a polished presentation and design that will give students a sense of pride in their work.
